Welcome to Salamandridae.com!

Here is a brief overview of what our community has to offer...

1. Salamandridae.com is built on first hand, applied knowledge. I believe that resource books are very valuable, but nothing compares to having the advice of someone who has, or is, currently keeping the species YOU are seeking information on.
2. Salamandridae.com will be a community where people are encouraged to share new husbandry strategies. ( ex. "If you plan to keep your newts in a tub on a shaded porch...", Please let us now how it went!)

3. Salamandridae.com is a family-friendly site where children visit, and are welcomed. Please keep all comments civil and clean of profanity. Also, all uploaded pics must be appropriate in this regard as well.
4. Salamandridae.com will deliver:
a. Various care sheets for species that either my administrators, moderators, contributors, or I am keeping or have kept.
b. We are working on a "live-chat" as well. This is an invaluable tool for instant knowledge and personal networking.
c. A fresh outlook on forum topics. I think there are a few topics that have not yet been given full attention...As well as the basics...
d. A consistently honest approach to advice. If we have not had direct experience with the species in question we will offer you a quote from a publication, or pass on direct word of mouth care as taken from someone that is keeping them, and is known to have had success. We believe in good advice!

Please check back, new sections are soon to come!

We are excited to see old freinds and new keepers alike!

All our best-
Salamandridae.com Administration Team
